It was the perfect spring temperature to be in the Windy City. We pushed our way through the busy Chicago streets flooded with crazy green attire and cheering crowds. One of the main events on St. Patrick’s Day is the dyeing of the river. The electric green river was just the beginning of an energy filled city ready to celebrate this holiday in style. From the crazy outfits to those who had simply had more green beer than anyone should have by 11am, this was a day filled with entertaining people watching. If you are looking for a reason to party… be sure to check out the buzz that Chicago brings for St. Patty’s Day!
The parade brought it characters from all over the city. From an Irish pimp, a one eyed skateboarded, to a Ringmaster blowing his whistle… it was nonstop visual chaos 🙂 The most interesting point of my day came when this man slowly made his way through a crowd of teenagers. He stepped in close enough to see the parade passing by… took in his surroundings.. and then pulled out his glasses and a book. I was intrigued. I couldn’t quite figure out why this was the place he chose, and why the rowdy crowd didn’t bother him. e
