He’s the youngest of three and the end of a chapter for these parents. I first photographed Nate when he was two years old. As years went by, I continued to travel to Des Moines, and they traveled to see me in Minneapolis, to capture the change as they all grew up. Nate almost always got stuck in the middle of his siblings, leaned on, tickled, squeezed, chased or picked on for the sake of candid moments. But you know what? I think he thrived off it it…. or at least most of the time. 🙂 There was always laughter mixed in with the perfect attitude. I’m not sure he realized it or not, but he was partly the reason our sessions together were always entertaining. Nate, you are all grown up and I can hardly believe it. Time can be such a gift and such a thief all at once. As I look back at all the years of photos with you and your siblings, I am reminded just how blessed I am to be invited into a family’s life for so much precious time. Thank you for traveling to me for one last shoot in this chapter of your childhood! Also, sorry I made you drive all the way from Des Moines to shoot in a parking garage. Those football jersey photos turned out pretty cool anyways. 🙂
