A custom made suit and the dress of a best friend hung in the prep room at the Women’s Club of Minneapolis. The ladies sat together for hair and makeup, laughed and chatted over old stories. With a pre ceremony cocktail hour on the rooftop, Alissa went up and mingled with the guests while Bettina sat quietly with her best friend, Barbie. A band entertained the guests as they enjoyed a signature cocktail and the views of Loring Park. As guests made their way to their seats, the music began and a song was sung by the most amazing voice. Bettina took her time coming down their stairs, glancing out to her family and friends. As she made her way down the aisle, her eyes locked in with her moms and the tears began. Her mom, standing so proud, whispered…. “you’re so beautiful”…. and didn’t take her eyes off of her daughter. From the storytelling toasts and “get to know Alissa and Bettina” game, to the surprise song by all their family and friends… this day was one fantastic celebration. A day filled with candids will forever remind them of the genuine love and joy that filled the evening. Congrats Alissa and Bettina!
This is how a sibling photo should look. In the moment joy and love. Alissa and Bettina wanted their day to be captured in a candid nature. Below you will see them both with their “bests” in genuine form. The moment Bettina and her mom locked eyes. Celebrating Love is Love. Unique framing by my second lady, Amy.Cocoa and Fig. A must have.I adore these two black and white images of Bettina and Alissa’s dad. A moment that will forever be treasured.A surprise song was written and sung by all the guests. To the tune “You give me fever”….
A snippet of it goes like this…..
Never knew how much I love ya
Never knew how much I care
When you brought your dog around me
I got a feeling that we were a pair
