He blocked the date out on their calendar for lunch at Sea Salt restaurant. They arrived on their bikes, stood beneath the coved trees and took in the warm summer air. As they walked through the busy crowd to a quieter place, Karissa thought they were just enjoy a date in the park. She had no idea what was in store. They lounged in the grass on their favorite blanket and enjoyed a little “Sunday Funday” together. When he brought out a few envelopes that included sweet notes and clues to the next, the last one required her to stand up and be blindfolded. Enclosed was a calendar of the church that she wanted to be married at with the date she had hoped for…. marked “Zimmer Wedding”. As she glanced at the paper, he bent to his knee and  proposed to his best friend. It was the perfect date in the park.
