The last light of the day is known as the “Golden Hour” for those of us photographers that are chasing the soft tones in our work. I have had a long standing nickname for that special stream of beauty goodness… I call it the “yum yum light”. As I quickly warmed these two up to get comfortable in front of my lens, I called out the amazing light. Annie, being a non photographer, said.. “Yea… Isn’t this called Happy Hour Light or something?” And just like that… I stole it. You will now possibly hear me refer to that golden goodness as Happy Hour. Let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a good Happy Hour?! So, Annie…. thanks for that little slice of goodness that will forever stay with me at my shoots!

While that Happy Hour, yum yum, golden goodness light was definitely our friends… the light hearted nature of these two as a couple is what made this session. They both described their love as easy going and close knit… something that was not hard to see as they laughed their way through the evening. Whether Zach is the only guy in a room full of women at a workout class that she is instructing, or Annie simply says “I’m proud of you” after a hard day at work, they know how to make the other one feel supported. So, here’s to finding more nights together beneath the Happy Hour light, laughing about everything… and nothing at all.
