MINNEAPOLIS EVENT CENTER | LISA + PHIL

June 5, 2017

She was the girl that would open the newspaper and look through the wedding announcements, gushing over each of the couple’s love. She hoped one day she would find her perfect someone and they would have their time to declare their big day. Lisa waited a long time for Phil, but he was sure worth the wait. Unbeknownst to this bride to be, her mother put an announcement in the paper for her daughter’s big day. As she told the story in her wedding day toast, it wasn’t just her eyes that got teary… but the bride’s younger sister’s as well. They knew how much this day meant to Lisa. As the bride stood and toasted to her new husband, she shared a book themed quote to follow suit with their wedding decor.

I cannot promise you a life of sunshine;
I cannot promise you riches, wealth or gold;
I cannot promise you an easy pathway
That leads away from change or growing old.

But I can promise all my heart’s devotion;
A smile to chase away your tears of sorrow.
A love that’s true and ever growing;
A hand to hold in your’s through each tomorrow.

Congratulations to the girl who waited for her perfect other half. He clearly has the sense of humor to keep you on your toes!

Floral silk robe with silver wedding shoes and wedding dress I adore the photo of the mother of the bride holding the grandmother’s ring the bride wore. Something old for wedding day-grandmother's ring Photo of Bride and mom putting on her wedding dress Portrait of bride Portrait of bride and groom on Nicollet Island Bridge Portrait of bride and groom walking on Nicollet Island Bridge Portrait of bride and groom on Nicollet Island Bridge Library card socks Sometimes it’s hard to wait to see the bride….
Love this small moment of a grandmother and her grandson.  Can you even handle the way the mother of the bride is looking at her walking down the aisle?!
