It was the first time a dad attended senior photos. Most of the time seniors don’t want their parents tagging along during their session. For Russ, his parents hung around the whole time and his dad became my perfect assistant. His behind the scenes random banter and shenanigans pulled out smirks and smiles of his son that made for not only great photos… but hilarious memories and an awesome experience. The father son bond is easily seen and will need to be soaked in for his last year at home. In the mean time, Russ will continue to try to out skill his dad in hunting. As of two weeks ago, he was up one with a bow and arrow. This kid has skills! At the end of the session while mom whipped past us, we looked up and saw people flying these parachute things. So, as the sun went down and Russ and his pups headed home… I sat on the side of the highway and watched them soar across the sun kissed sky. If anyone in the area of Ledges State Park in Madrid Iowa knows who flies these things, I would love to share photos with them!
