11 years and 3 babes later, they are still laughing together. You want to  know my absolute favorite part of this session? When I let the kids run free and gave mom and dad a simple moment together. When I say moment, I am not kidding. It only took about 45 seconds for one of the kiddos to come and dangle at their ankles. As soon as I said…”Pretend it’s happy hour”… she laughed and fell into the most perfect spot on his shoulder. This is what hard marriage work looks like. When you are amongst the chaos of 6 hands needing you, 3 pairs of feet running from you, and countless squeals, you find a moment to laugh and and enjoy it. Be these parents. I am even telling these parents to remember to be these parents. Through the tough times and the fun ones. Be these parents.  Let’s talk about the parachute game, shall we? It might not be the best game to play with two older kids and a toddler. Whoops. Glad the parents thought it was as funny as I did 🙂 And yes, he laid there and pouted while his siblings got a few more runs.
