Their story began in high school, but life put a pause on things. While they went down separate roads for some time, their experiences brought their paths back as one. This story… their story.. .begins as husband and wife. They now walk the same path hand in hand, knowing that God made it possible.
This creative, kind, beautiful, Godly woman is my future sister in law. She planned a ceremony that would not only be unforgettable, but incredibly meaningful and personal. After her bridal party made their way down the aisle the song faded out and you heard her voice. She spoke about an angel gone too soon. Amy’s best friend. White balloons were carried around the long entrance walk to the aisle, giving everyone a chance to see them. At the end of the aisle, the little girl raised her hands high and released them into the air. As the song faded out, another began. “Praise Him, Praise Him, Praise Him” The song spoke of how she felt about this day. Through the sun kissed trees you began to see a white horse and carriage making it’s way down the hill. It was magical. As she stood hand in hand with her husband, she vowed her love to him. These words were not read, they were memorized. In a spoken word fashion… she brought tears to everyones eyes.
“I’ve been on this journey my entire life. Searching for the exact moment I could stand in front of my future and proclaim possessing God’s most flawless creation and making him the center of my world.
When I look at you I not only see my husband but I see the rest of my life for better or worse richer or poorer I stand beside you as your wife.
This is not my last day as a free woman it’s my first one because everyday before you seems worthless compared to all the days after you introduced my pain to laughter.
I remember the first time I met you time froze you were the one and against the world’s limitations I had to pinch myself to clarify this was real. I had to have whatever you had in my life and whatever that is to this day paralyzes me still.
I was so numb so I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to feel this. So sick and tired of being sick and tired you became the cure to my every illness. In a chaotic world of billions you offered stillness so it’s with a attitude of gratitude I give to you my vows.
